Call Memory ("the app") is published by Hugo Software ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. It is short because the app collects almost nothing.
The short version
Everything you write in Call Memory stays on your phone. We never receive it, we cannot read it, and we cannot recover it. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no trackers.
What you put into the app
You create the content yourself: call notes, the people you add by hand, follow-up reminders, and your chosen interface language.
All of it is stored in the app's local storage on your device only. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. There is no cloud sync and no backup service.
Because there is no server copy, we as the developer have no way to see, access, export, or restore your notes.
What the app does not access
Call Memory does not:
- read your device call log or call history
- read your phone contacts
- record calls or audio
- use the microphone on Android
- use the camera, your location, or your photos
- collect an advertising identifier
People shown inside the app are the ones you typed in yourself. They are not imported from your phone.
Accounts
There are none. You do not sign up, log in, or give us an email address to use the app.
Third-party services
The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party trackers.
The one network request
At launch the app fetches a small feature-configuration file from https://hq.bnj.app/api/v1/config/callmemory. This request is read-only. It sends no personal data and no identifiers — it only retrieves settings such as whether optional features are switched on. If your device is offline, the app works fully without it.
As with any web request, the server may briefly record the requesting IP address in standard access logs for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to any user and are not used to track anyone.
Permissions
The app declares a single Android permission: INTERNET, used only for the configuration request described above.
How long data is kept
Your notes stay on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes everything permanently. Since we hold no copy, deletion is entirely in your hands.
Children
Call Memory is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete on request. You control your data directly on your device. See our data removal page for details.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
